Curated Ontario Exhibition Experience

About the Exhibition

This curated exhibition is part of an immersive evening that brings together visual art, international cuisine, and live candlelight music in an intimate and thoughtfully designed setting.

Each selected work will be intentionally placed to contribute to a cohesive visual experience that enhances the atmosphere of the event.

This is a curated exhibition — not all submissions will be accepted.

 

Artist Eligibility

This exhibition is open to all artists based in Ontario.

We welcome emerging and established artists working in painting and drawing disciplines.

All submissions are reviewed through a curated selection process.

Curatorial Theme

Theme: The Atlas Experience

This exhibition explores the world through art, focusing on different countries, cultures, lifestyles, people, and food traditions from around the globe.

Artists are invited to create work that reflects a strong sense of place and cultural identity, capturing the spirit of the Atlas theme through storytelling, atmosphere, and visual narrative.

All submitted work must clearly represent a country, culture, lifestyle, people, or food from a different country.

Artwork Eligibility & Medium

This exhibition is strictly open to the following mediums only:

Painting: acrylics, oils, watercolors, gouache
Drawing: pencil or pastel

No other mediums will be accepted.

All submitted work must align with the Atlas theme by representing a specific country, culture, lifestyle, people, or food from around the world.

Artwork Guidelines

  • All work must be original and created by the submitting artist

  • Maximum of 5 artworks per artist

  • All works must be exhibition-ready upon submission

 

Size Requirements

  • Minimum size: 11” x 14”

  • Maximum size: 24” x 36”

Works outside of these dimensions will not be considered.

Framing & Presentation

All artwork must be ready to hang upon arrival.

  • Frames are strongly encouraged (not required if using a stretched or gallery canvas)

  • All wall-mounted works must include secure hanging wire

  • No sawtooth hangers will be accepted

  • Canvases may be unframed only if edges are cleanly finished and gallery-ready

The exhibition team will handle full installation and display.

Submission Fee

A fee of $10 per artwork applies.

Artists may submit between 1 and 5 pieces:

  • 1 artwork — $10

  • 2 artworks — $20

  • 3 artworks — $30

  • 4 artworks — $40

  • 5 artworks — $50

All submissions are reviewed individually.

Submission fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee acceptance.

Delivery & Drop-Off

All selected artwork must be received no later than one week prior to the event date (by September 11, 2026).

Drop-Off - In-person delivery details will be provided upon acceptance.

Shipping - Artwork may be shipped at the artist’s expense. All pieces must be securely packaged for safe transport and return.

Artwork Labeling

Each submitted piece must include the following on the back:

  • Artist Name

  • Artwork Title

  • Medium

  • Dimensions

  • Price (CAD)

 

Private Atlas Experience Evening (Artists & Ticket Holders)

Saturday | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

This is an exclusive private viewing reserved for participating artists and guests who have purchased The Atlas Experience tickets.

Guests will experience the full exhibition before public opening, including a first look at the curated installation featuring 20 selected artists. The evening will also include the unveiling of a new painting series by Marie-France Lafleur-Gagnon, revealed exclusively during this private event.

This is an opportunity to mingle directly with the exhibiting artists in an intimate setting.

The experience will include cocktails and a curated selection of international hors d’oeuvres inspired by the Atlas theme, creating a global tasting experience alongside the artwork.

Public Exhibition

Sunday | 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Held at Cedar Meadows Resort & Spa, Salon Cartier Hall, the exhibition opens to the public for an immersive viewing experience featuring all selected works within a curated environment.

Guests will also experience the continued unveiling of a new painting series by Marie-France Lafleur-Gagnon, host and featured artist of The Atlas Experience, with first access to view and purchase select works from the collection before they are released elsewhere.

Visitors are invited to explore the full exhibition and experience the artistic vision of The Atlas Experience, where art, culture, and storytelling come together in one setting.

Sales & Commission

All submitted artwork must be available for sale unless otherwise agreed in advance.

  • Commission: 20% retained on all sales

  • Artist payout: 80% of final sale price

  • Payments processed within 7–14 days following the event

  • Pricing must be finalized at submission and cannot be changed after acceptance

 

Awards

People’s Choice Award (for curated artwork only)

One artwork will be selected by public vote as the People’s Choice Award winner.

  • Prize: $250 cash

  • Voting takes place during the public exhibition on Sunday

  • All exhibited works are automatically eligible

 

Submission Agreement

By submitting, you confirm the following:

  • All artwork is original and created by you

  • Submission does not guarantee acceptance

  • Submission fees are non-refundable

  • Selected works must be delivered as submitted

  • You grant permission for submitted images to be used for event promotion

  • You agree to participate in a curated exhibition experience

 

Final Note

This exhibition is intentionally curated. Each selected work is chosen not only for its individual strength, but for how it contributes to the overall narrative, atmosphere, and global storytelling of The Atlas Experience.

Accommodations

Artists travelling from out of town will be offered a discounted rate on a standard room at Cedar Meadows Resort & Spa for the duration of the event.

Accommodation is subject to availability and will be provided with booking details upon acceptance into the exhibition.
